Another modality I explored and developed over the course of my practice is to use what I call “journeys”. This is a modality that lives at the intersection of Applied Meditation and shamanic work. I use the word “shamanic” carefully as an adjective for lack of a better word. I spent a few years working with a practitioner from the Mystery School and not in any way connected to indigenous practices or what is often called “the Red Road”.

I learned to do extractions and soul retrievals, and over the years, have led many guided visualisation journeys in various contexts. I usually plot a kind of map for myself so I know some of the key elements I want to use – a meadow, a portal, an ocean shore, or an inner castle – but I always leave room for spontaneity and channeling in the moment as the magic usually flows through us and can often create much better journeys than our minds alone.  I have some tried and true journeys I can record for specific needs like planting an inner garden or protecting your home or workplace from unwanted energies. I can also create bespoke journeys on request.
